Job Description: Paralegal - Labor Relations Specialist
Position Overview:
The Paralegal - Labor Relations Specialist will provide comprehensive legal support and expertise pertaining to labor relations matters within the Law and Criminal Justice field. This role requires a strong understanding of labor laws, regulations, and legal procedures. The successful candidate will assist in handling all aspects of labor relations and collective bargaining negotiations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and maintaining positive employer-employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct legal research and analysis to support labor relations activities.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of collective bargaining strategies and objectives.
3. Prepare and review legal documents, including collective bargaining agreements, grievance responses, and labor-related contracts.
4. Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
5. Participate in labor negotiations, including attending meetings, taking minutes, and providing advice on labor-related matters.
6. Handle grievance procedures, including investigating complaints, gathering evidence, and preparing responses.
7. Assist in the interpretation and application of labor contracts, policies, and procedures.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of labor relations activities, including grievances, arbitrations, and collective bargaining agreements.
9. Provide guidance and training to management and employees on labor-related issues, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Law, Criminal Justice, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Paralegal or Labor Relations Specialist.
3. In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining practices.
4. Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective negotiation and conflict resolution.
6. High attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and record-keeping.
7. Proficient in using legal research tools and software.
